It was quite a way to end the regular season for the Six Nations Rebels.

Already clinching the top spot in the entire Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League (OJBLL), the Rebels closed out the regular season Friday at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena with a 24-4 thumping of the St. Catharines Spartans.

After scoring five goals in the opening period, the Rebels went off for 15 in the second period.

Layne Smith led the way for the Rebels scoring eight goals and three assists, while Kevin Owen Hill and Gates Abrams each scored three goals and two assists.

Daylen Hill, Riley Miller and Garret Vyse-Square each netted two goals, while Josh Miller, Wes Whitlowand Chayton King added one each.

Spartans goalie Troy Holowchuk was probably the busiest person in the arena, during the 70-shot barrage. Down at the other end, Briley Miller made 24 stops.

With its 19-1 record, the Rebels now wait for its OJBLL playoff opponent.
