After sweeping away the Point Edward Pacers and Hamilton Bengals, the Six Nations Rebels now face the Orangeville Northmen in the Ontario Jr. B Lacrosse League West Division final.

The Rebels closed things out against the Bengals Friday with a 14-10 victory.

But it certainly didn’t come easy.

With the Bengals leading after the first and second periods, the Rebels responded with seven goals in the third to win the game.

Layne Smith, like he has all season, led the way with five goals, while Riley Miller and Wes Whitlow added two goals each. Ricky Smith, Gavin Skye, Kahn General, Garret Vyse-Squire and Riley Montour pitched in with a goal each.

Sam English led the Bengals with three goals, while Dawson Brown added a pair. Trevor Barrett, Tanner Brennekem Jimmy Chadwick, Luke Robinson and Greg Morrisette netted singles.

Game 1 of the series is at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena Saturday at 3 p.m., with Game 2 Tuesday in Orangeville and Game 3 back at the ILA Friday July 28. Both games are at 8 p.m. Game 4 and 5, if necessary, are July 30 in Orangeville at 7 p.m. and July 31 at 8 p.m. at the ILA.
